Abstract
Based on the review of literature, it was not difficult to infer that job stress has a negative impact on individual¡¯s subjective well-being. However, it was difficult to draw a clear conclusion on what kinds of role resilience plays in the relationship between job stress and subjective well-being because results of previous studies reported mixed findings. Therefore, this study attempted to investigate the specific role of resilience by exploring the mediating and moderating roles at the same time. In order to achieve the study aim , a survey was conducted on 205 psychiatric social workers working at various mental health fields nationwide. The main research findings were as follows. First, resilience was found to play a partial mediating role between job stress and subjective well-being. Second, it was found that the moderating effect of resilience was not statistically significant. Based on the research results, the practical implications of this study were discussed.
